Come visit the friendly model railroad club OVMV Aalst and discover four impressive model railroads that were built with great passion.
The biggest eye-catcher is without a doubt the Aalst model railroad layout, on which the area around the Aalst train station as it looked around the year 2000 has been recreated down to the smallest details. From buildings and streets to signals and rail infrastructure: everything was constructed with great attention to detail.
In addition to the model railroads, the club’s friendly atmosphere is also a key part of the experience. Both beginners and experienced model railroaders are warmly welcome.
📍 Erembodegemstraat 31/33, Aalst
Step back in time during a visit to the Maldegem Steam Center. Here, you can ride on historic steam and diesel trains and discover what rail travel was like decades ago.
During the summer season, the Steam Center regularly organizes theme days and special rides, adding that little extra something to every visit.
📍 Maldegem
In Mini-Europe , you can travel all across Europe in just a few hours. You’ll stroll past hundreds of miniature versions of famous buildings and monuments, including the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, and the Atomium.
Train enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy, thanks to the miniature trains that run through the park and other moving scenes that bring the park to life.
